Dancin' machine video

Quinn loves his music table & loves to dance! His dancing includes bobbing his head. He knows how to make the music turn on & then dances. He will really get going if he's laying on his stomach in front of it...he bobs his head so much he'll bang it on the toy, not on purpose of course. Either way he dances it makes us laugh every single time.

Pumpkin

Below are some pics from the day we carved our pumpkin. We sat Quinn in his high-chair while we carved the pumpkin. He wasn't too interested.

We went to the doctor today. He weighs 16 lbs. & is 25 in. long (with clothes on) so he hasn't gained that much. He had to get 4 shots, 2 in each thigh, which was obviously not the highlight of his day! As soon as I picked him up he was fine & stopped crying.

Weekend

Adam went to FL this weekend for the Browns v. Jacksonville football game so Quinn & I headed down to my parents house for the weekend.

He is almost crawling. He will move each knee once but doesn't know to move his hands, so he then just flattens out on his belly. He'll also get up on his feet & hands...we're not sure what this move is all about.

He is babbling a lot more, pretty much constantly.

We'll post some pics this week of Quinn in his Halloween costume...gotta get a good pic first! If it's not too cold he can help me pass out candy on Friday night.

Circleville Pumpkin Show

Quinn & I went to the Circleville Pumpkin Show tonight w/ Michele, Erick & their boys. I didn't take my camera to the Pumpkin Show but got some pics at Michele's house.

Quinn loves our dog, Zeke, but I don't think Zeke likes Quinn very much. Quinn laughs at him & will follow him around by scooting on his belly.

Here's the first time Quinn saw Zeke at Grandma & Grandpa Makuley's house...you can see his dimple on his right cheek w/ that cute smile.

I tried posting pics last night & today but for some reason it's not working. I'll try later today.

Big day!

Today was a big day for Quinn. We had our first shopping trip w/ my mom. We bought him a few clothes, some yummy baby food veggies & some other goodies. He also watched his first Buckeye game!

Here is Quinn eating bananas in his new mesh bag spoon thing...I'm not really sure what it's called. He loved it & it kept him occupied for quite a while. Next time I think we'll try apples.

Hanging out at home

Quinn has adjusted very well to his new home! Today we took Quinn to the doctor. He got his first band-aid b/c he had blood drawn. The eczema has gotten better but is still on his face.

Naps & bed-time has gotten much better since we are not living in a hotel any longer. Quinn has also adjusted to the time difference really well. He's pretty much on OH time except he has been getting up really early...5 am yesterday & 4 am this morning. I'm sure once he's completely adjusted he'll sleep a little later, at least I hope so. He did go to bed a little later tonight (7:30 pm) so hopefully he'll be up once tonight & sleep until 6 am. We'll see!

We made it home!

We are home & surprisingly all had a good night of sleep last night! Quinn did good on all 4 flights. He did not like the car ride from the airport to our house. We're thinking it was a combination of he's never been strapped into a carseat before & he could not see us since he was rear-facing. He LOVES the exersaucer!! He was in it about an hour & 1/2 last night. He slept last night from 7 pm to 2:15 am & then from 3 am to 5 am which is great considering the crazy schedule he's had the past few days!

Tuesday morning----we're ready to go!

We packed most things last night & are ready to go. We are doing a late check out from the hotel at 2 pm today. Ninh is picking us up for the airport at 4:30. Our flight to Hong Kong leaves at 7 pm. We should arrive home in Columbus around noon on Wed. Hopefully the 4 flights won't be too hard on Quinn. The long flight is from Hong Kong to LA, about 14 hours. We're going to try to keep him awake on the 7 pm flight from VN to HK so he'll sleep a lot on the HK to LA flight.

Can't wait to see everyone once we are home!!

Water puppet show

Last night we went to the water puppet show. It lasted about an hour & Quinn did pretty good. We also went to the night market, which is where they close a street in Hanoi & have vendors in the street after dark. We bought quite a few things.

We have our visa appt. today at 2 pm & should get the visa between 4:30 & 5:30. Will post more later after we're back from getting the visa.

These first 2 pictures are from yesterday...we stayed in the room all day except to go out for dinner. Well, I did go to the pool for about an hour while Adam & Quinn were napping.

Below is the little satin suit we bought for Quinn yesterday. It's too big for him now, but we plan to get his picture taken in it whenever it fits him. The jacket & pants are both lined and it only cost us $6.00! He was not as excited about playing dress-up as Adam & I were.

We plan to hang this in his room.Tonight we are going to the water puppet show w/ the other 2 couples & then out to dinner. We are also going to a night market. It's only on Sat. & Sun. nights. It starts at 7 pm so hopefully Quinn & the other babies will cooperate!

7 months old - Sat.

Today Quinn is 7 months old! These pics are from yesterday. The eczema on his face has cleared up some as of this morning. We looked it up online & it says to keep him out of the heat & humidity. So, we're going to hang out in the room today.

Our flights are now changed. We are leaving Tues. night about 7 pm & will arrive in Columbus around noon on Wed. We can't wait to get home!

Quinn's passport

We went to immigration today & got Quinn's passport. We then went to get his medical exam, which is required in order to have the visa appt. We have the visa appt. on Monday at 2 pm & should receive the actual visa on Monday between 4:30 & 5:30.

We emailed the travel agent today to see if we can get our flight moved to Tuesday night. We could leave late Monday but it would have to be after 8 pm but there are no flights after 8:00.

Quinn has eczema on his face. The doc gave us some cream for it today. It doesn't seem to bother him but it looks awful.
