Trouble...

new haircut

Adam cut Quinn's hair last night and it's the shortest it's ever been. I like it short and think it looks cute but this one was kind of a shock because it's so short. Still cute!
In the previous posts you may be able to tell he has a black eye under his right eye. This showed up on Thursday evening so it must have happened at daycare. It kept getting more and more purple over the weekend. Today he came home with the big scratch on his forehead, definitely visible in this picture. Poor kid!

Quinn is now into eating ketchup. If we have ketchup or dip on our plate he must also have some. Notice he does not have a shirt on...it's quite a messy process.

Quinn is really talking, eating all the time, dancing all the time and becoming quite a ham. He does not seem as shy as he used to be. When we take our evening walk he waves at pretty much everyone we see. He's signing "eat" all the time and is eating a lot. I haven't weighed him lately so not sure if he's gained weight, but the way he's been eating I would think he has. He's saying a lot of new words now and knows animal noises for dog, monkey and duck. My new favorite is when we are laughing he'll hold his hands over his mouth and throw his head back like he's laughing hysterically.

1st trip to the zoo

We took our 1st family trip to the zoo on Monday. Quinn had a great time looking at all the animals. He did not like the carousel. He was fine as he was sitting on the horse but as soon as the music started and the carousel started to move his arms went around my neck and off the horse he came. He was then fine with me just holding him. We'll definitely have to return to the zoo this summer.

Rough week

We had a rough start to the week. Quinn is getting new teeth in the bottom, on both sides, so the beginning of the week was not good. They still haven't broken through but he's not acting like they are bothering him anymore. Not sure if they are no longer hurting him or if he's just used to the pain now. Regardless, I'm glad he's back to his normal routine.
He moves into his new room at daycare tomorrow. He's been spending a lot of time in that room in the past month so he should be ok tomorrow when I drop him off.

I have tried about 5 times over the last week or so to upload pictures and for some reason I can't get it to work. So...I'll just write about what Quinn has been up to now that he's 15 months old:
-He no longer uses his highchair and instead sits at the table in his booster chair.
-He really likes trying to use a fork and is actually getting pretty good at stabbing food and getting it to his mouth.
-He is transitioning into the next room at daycare. He'll be in the older room full-time starting July 1.
-He's imitating a lot....I even got him to put his arms up to form an O and say "O". Gotta get him ready for OSU football this fall!!
-He likes to back up to things and sit down on them. Not sure what this is all about?!?
-He has realized there are birds outside and when they fly over he always points and says his famous "what's that".
-I was still giving him a bottle before bed and when he woke up in the middle of the night (yes, he still wakes up) but this week we have stopped that. He had no problem giving up the bottle during the day but it's definitely been a challenge with the night bottle. But, we haven't given in. He has been up late every night this week because of this. Tonight he was asleep at 8:30, which has been the earliest since we started. Hopefully after a few weeks he'll adjust.
-He knows where his belly, head and nose are.
-No new words or signs but he's babbling a lot more.
-He's definitely turning into Mr. Independent and wanting to do things on his own. Then he gets frustrated and screams. The joys of a toddler!

That's about all I can think of. Hopefully he'll start talking more once he's with older kids in the next room level up at daycare.
