Thursday was the first day of school for both boys: Quinn - kindergarten and Caden - preschool. Both boys were very excited. Quinn started asking at 8 am when it was time to go to school, when is the bus coming. The bus doesn't come until 12:20. So, it was a long morning of questions about school! Quinn did keep going back and forth between being nervous and excited about both riding the bus and school.
They did not have a trial run on the bus for the kids so Thursday was there first time on a bus. Caden has a harness/seatbelt and I have to go onto the bus to strap him in so that helped with any nervousness about riding the bus. I told Quinn he could sit by Caden or in another seat and he wanted to sit with Caden.
When the boys came home they were on the wrong bus. They go by colors and we were told by the school that they were to ride the gold bus. However, they were really supposed to be on the silver bus. It wasn't a big deal though because both buses were in our neighborhood and brought them to our bus stop. When I got onto the bus to unstrap Caden he was out cold, slobber running down his face. The bus driver said he fell asleep as soon as she started moving. I'm sure he'll be asleep every afternoon on the bus!
Quinn goes Mon. - Fri. and Caden goes Mon. - Thurs. Friday Quinn was not wanting to go to school without his brother. But, once the bus got here he was fine. Next week is a full week so we'll see how tired they are each evening.
Waiting at the bus stop. The bus was about 30 minutes late so it was a long wait!
Quinn gave Caden a hug and told him "good luck at preschool today buddy!".
My thumb sucker!
Bored and waiting for the late bus!
Finally, the bus is here!!!
